In California, I sign to verify that you are the person named in the document and that you signed it. I can also administer an oath acknowledging that the information is correct to the best of your knowledge. I do not verify the accuracy of the Information contained in the document.

I am fully vaccinated, I wear a mask to all my appointments and I wear gloves upon request or where signers are at higher risk. In addition, we will meet in an open air space as much as possible. There are instances where signers are not able to get to an outdoor space, but we will follow best practices to maintain a safe environment indoors.

During the pandemic, I have conducted appointments on porches, on the hood of my car, on folding TV dinner trays, Patio tables and even on an air conditioning unit. We can also meet at your favorite coffee or food spot, library, or even Park. So yes, we can be creative, but we do need a clean flat surface to sign and stamp my seal on documents.

You will definitely need an official picture ID (driver license, passport, etc.). If you do not have a valid ID, or your Document requires witnesses, you will need to have them present at the signing appointment.

Unless specifically prohibited, I can often be a witness on your document as well. However, this does not apply in the Case where I, as your Notary Public, need witnesses in place of a valid photo ID.

I cannot advise you on any aspect of your documents that is not specifically related to the notary act. You will need to consult your attorney or real estate agents on any issues stated within the documents. I cannot notarize incomplete Documents, so be sure all blanks have been filled with the proper information.

I do not speak any language other than English. If you or your signer does not speak English, you must locate a notary who speaks the same language as the signer. No interpreter can be used.
